1956-1957: 600 of Japan's largest R32 rear engine buses were
exported to Chile. |

bus for use in Chile, the R400 rear engine was developed by changing the engine
mount from a horizontal to a vertical position. |

| Trucks |

1955: The T31 8-ton truck was modified to produce the T33 with
a new all-steel cab. |
| 1959: The T380, Japan's first large-size cab-over truck was
mass-produced. |

Mid-size trucks in the 2.5 to 4 ton range were produced. These
trucks became the "Jupiter" line, and full-scale production began in
1959. |
