March 14, 2011
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) expresses its deepest condolences to all the people affected by the March 11 Japan and earthquake and tsunami. Our thoughts are with all those touched by this disaster.
MFTBC has decided to suspend operations from March 15, Tuesday through March 21, Monday. This affects the company’s headquarters and main plant in Kawasaki, Japan, and other Japan facilities. The suspension of operations is made to contribute to the safety of employees, help the planned electricity suspensions in Japan and to ensure that its suppliers can resume providing parts and materials.
In the next days, the company will continually evaluate the status of its plant facilities and its supply chain, in order to resume operations next week.
In addition, the company has established functions to meet urgent customer needs and to plan the production re-start.
