To provide initial assistance of the affected regions in the immediate aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Daimler AG (Daimler) donated 2 million euros (approximately 230 million yen). The monetary aid was handed over to the Nippon Foundation to support the disaster relief and aid actions in the northeast of the country.
