PRESS RELEASE

Mitsubishi Fuso Announces Start of
New Initiative in North American Market

March 1, 2006

Tokyo and Atlanta – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) today announced the official launch of a new initiative in the North American market. Last July, Mitsubishi Fuso announced a cooperative project with fellow DaimlerChrysler truck brand Sterling Trucks for Sterling to market a light-duty truck based on Fuso’s highly successful Canter product. Now, Sterling has unveiled the new product offering at the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) show in Atlanta. Called the Sterling “360,” the Class 3-5 truck will be available at selected Sterling dealers across North America.

The Sterling 360’s design allows for excellent fuel economy as well as the easy cab entry and exit, outstanding maneuverability and visibility, and a body builder-friendly design. It will be available in spring 2006.

The launch of the truck represents a new opportunity for Mitsubishi Fuso in the North American market. It is also an achievement of the DaimlerChrysler Commercial Vehicles Division’s Global Excellence program. “Global Excellence” is an optimization program created to leverage DaimlerChrysler’s global commercial vehicle span and diverse business units.

Alongside the Sterling initiative, Mitsubishi Fuso has its own presence in the NAFTA market. Through its subsidiary, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA), Logan Township, N.J., Mitsubishi Fuso markets a complete line of diesel-powered, light- and medium-duty cabover trucks through more than 170 dealer locations throughout the United States and Canada.
