Mitsubishi Fuso Expands KD Export Logistics Center
in Higashi Ohgishima

May 23, 2006

Tokyo – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) today announced the expansion of its logistics center in Higashi Ohgishima, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The facility, which is an export shipping base for knockdown (KD) kits and other parts logistics activities, has been enlarged by 10,800 square meters to accommodate MFTBC's growing international business. The newly expanded facility, now encompassing 25,900 square meters, officially opened today.

"The upgraded Higashi Ohgishima facility will improve Mitsubishi Fuso's logistical capabilities as we fulfill the increasing demands from our international customers," said Jay Johnson, MFTBC Corporate General Manager of Procurement & Supply. "MFTBC is committed to using logistics to enhance the company's position in the global truck business, and to provide quality service to all our business partners worldwide."

Previously, MFTBC has been performing KD logistics operations, including packaging and delivery, at multiple internal and external warehouses with Higashi Ohgishima Center as the operations center. With the expansion of MFTBC's overseas business (+61% over the past five years), the company decided to centralize KD logistics at Higashi Ohgishima. The facility's expanded capabilities will usher in greater efficiency, quality control, customer service and long term flexibility.

Construction began on the expansion in October 2005 and was completed in April 2006. In total, the logistics center has been expanded about 70% from its original dimensions. The facility employs about 300 people.

In 2005, MFTBC shipped over 80,000 KD units to 16 countries including the company's two largest export markets, Indonesia and Taiwan. KD kits are full or partial packages of vehicle parts and components which are used by overseas assemblers to build up Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles.

Last year, MFTBC sold a record 119,000 units in the international markets outside Japan, with overseas sales representing approximately 2/3 of the company's total volumes.
