Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), an integral part of Daimler Trucks, today announced the appointment of Dr. Eike Boehm as Senior Vice President of Product Engineering. In his position, Dr. Boehm is responsible for all aspects of product development, engineering and testing for Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and buses. Dr. Boehm is a 20-year veteran of the Daimler AG organization. Since May 2005, he has been serving as Director of Chassis Components in Truck Product Engineering for Daimler Trucks. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Mercedes-Benz truck engineering, first as a Project Manager for a new truck tractor beginning in 1998 and later as Director of Entire Vehicle Mercedes-Benz trucks in 2004-2005. His experience at Daimler AG also includes work on the Smart car and Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Born in Pforzheim, Germany, Dr. Boehm holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. He is a member of the jury for the German Project Excellence Award and member of the board of senior industrial fellows of the Europe Institute for Technology and Innovation Management. Dr. Boehm succeeds Dr. Sascha Paasche, who had held the position since June 2005. Dr. Paasche has been appointed head of Product Engineering for Mercedes-Benz Vans in Germany. |
