Names Matthias Gruendler
Chief Financial Officer

Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced the appointment of Mr. Matthias Gruendler as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Gruendler has been serving as MFTBC’s Director of Corporate Controlling & Accounting since March 2008. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Mercedes-Benz South Africa (Pty) Ltd. from Feb. 2005 to Feb. 2008 and Chief Financial Officer of DaimlerChrysler South East Asia Pte. Ltd. from Jan. 2004 to Jan. 2005. His experience at Daimler AG also includes senior financial management positions at DaimlerChrysler Thailand and DaimlerChrysler South Africa. He first joined the Daimler organization in Aug. 1986.

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Mr. Gruendler studied Business Economics at the Institut für Wissenstransfer in Stuttgart.

Mr. Gruendler succeeds Dr. Dieter Buhl, MFTBC’s CFO since June 2004. Dr. Buhl will return to Daimler AG headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, and will take an executive position to be announced later.
