Mitsubishi Fuso Enters Mongolia Market
Establishing Further Presence in Asia Stronghold

•  First 10 Canter Light-Duty Trucks Delivered to MCS Coca-Cola LLC

Kawasaki, Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced its entry into the Mongolia market. The move further complements the company’s international market expansion in key markets with growth potential, especially in the Asia region where MFTBC has long-term expertise and strong market presence.

MFTBC will enter the Mongolia market with the FE Canter light-duty trucks (GVW 4.7-7.2 tons) and FK Fighter medium-duty trucks (GVW 11.0 tons). The trucks will be exported from Japan and sold through the dealer network of Mongolian Star Melchers Co., Ltd. (MSM), headquartered in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

On Monday, May 16, the company delivered its first 10 Canter light-duty trucks to MCS Coca-Cola LLC at a customer delivery ceremony held at Ulaanbaatar.

Referring to Mitsubishi Fuso’s global footprint, Mr. Seidenfuss added, “Also in 2011, Mitsubishi Fuso will continue to work on further growth opportunities in its international business. Overall, as a leading commercial vehicle brand in major growth markets, we are striving to bring the right products and services to our customers around the globe.”

During 2010, Mitsubishi Fuso posted a strong sales recovery while at the same time introducing more than 25 new products and product changes through the year. This dynamic, product offensive continues in 2011 led by the international roll-out of the new Canter light-duty truck, which saw its debut for North America market in March and for the Australia market in May. Mitsubishi Fuso plans to introduce more than 20 new products and product changes and also plans to continue to expand its global footprint in 2011. Last year, the company entered new markets including Russia, Pakistan, Cambodia and Laos. The company will continue its expansion in 2011 and will announce new market entries during the course of the year. MFTBC is active in more than 150 markets worldwide.
