Kawasaki, Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading truck manufacturers, today announced that it has reached a major sales milestone —more than 100,000 units of the latest Canter light-duty truck for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries of the Middle East have now been delivered in the region. The model, newly introduced in 2004, continues to win new customers due to its overall efficiency including excellent fuel economy and low cost of operation.

Based on the popularity of the Canter and the company’s broad product lineup — also including light buses, and medium- and heavy-duty trucks — Mitsubishi Fuso has historically been a leader in the Middle East. The company commands an overall strong market position across all segments, supported by its strong brand and distribution network.

Mr. Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss, MFTBC Vice President of Sales & Service International said, “Fuso would like to thank all our Middle East customers who continue to invest in the Mitsubishi Fuso products. The strong customer acceptance of the Canter and our other trucks and buses for the region motivates Fuso to continue its work on delivering products and services in tune with customer demands. This sales milestone is a tribute to the excellent cooperation with customers and partners in the region.”
