Fuso Adds Knuckle Boom Crane to Canter Light-Duty Truck Body Configuration Offering More Choice for Customers

Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced it has added a knuckle boom crane to its Fuso Canter light-duty truck body configuration for sale in Japan, making Fuso the first Japanese commercial vehicles manufacturer to offer a knuckle boom crane in Japan. Manufactured by Palfinger AG, Austria, the foldable crane is renowned in overseas markets and is offered for Fuso Canter light-duty trucks at work in the European markets.

Main characteristics of the knuckle boom crane The knuckle boom crane is characterized by a hook attached to the end of its boom arm which allows efficient operations and load lifting without using a cable. The boom can be folded down with easy operation and allows effective use of the truck bed. If combined with hydraulic power attachment, the crane can perform wide range of operations such as soil loading.

•  Maximum operating radius/Total rated load at unladen condition: 6.3 m/370 kg to 9.0 m/460 kg (when boom hinges in 3 places)
•  Number of booms: 2 to 5 booms (1 to 4 booms for hydraulic boom)
