World Premiere: Canter Eco Hybrid ‘Canna’ – Custom Designed for Women Professionals
The world’s most innovative and fuel-efficient light-duty truck is now going for a new dimension. Developed by a project team consisting of 9 women core members, the Canter Eco Hybrid ‘Canna’ design concept model aspires to change the commercial vehicles industry to an even more attractive place to work for women professionals in the transportation business. ‘Canna,’ a derivative word from “Kannazuki” refers to October – its month of birth – in the traditional Japanese calendar.
The final design of this concept model truck went through an intensive internal selection process by female workers at FUSO looking at number of design proposals from around the company. Its interior and exterior design both are based on the concept of making trucks more colorful in terms of cleanliness and attractiveness. The interior incorporates more “cute” and “comfort” elements in its inner panel and seat covers targeted at women drivers.
Japan Premiere: Strategic FUSO ‘FI’ truck developed for growth markets in Asia and Africa
This modern, robust, and fuel-efficient truck reinforces FUSO’s leadership in the growth markets in Asia and Africa. Launched in May this year, the custom-tailored trucks are already proving its robust payload and industry-leading fuel efficiency in Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Zambia. These trucks will be sold through MFTBC’s global network to total 15 markets in Asia and Africa in the first phase with further markets currently being evaluated.
The new FUSO truck range comprises 5 new models, the light-medium-duty (GVW 9-16 tons referred to as ‘FA’ & ‘FI’) and the medium-heavy-duty (GVW 25-49 tons referred to as ‘FJ’, ‘FO’ & ‘FZ’).
