Kawasaki, Japan – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced it is exhibiting a total of seven FUSO Canter trucks with three dive systems, diesel, hybrid and all-electric, at the 65th IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) for Commercial Vehicles, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle exhibitions, publicly open September 25-October 2, 2014, in Hanover, Germany. The company is presenting a total of seven FUSO Canter trucks representing “Truck of Tomorrow and Cutting-Edge Technology of Today.”
In top form: FUSO Canter with three drive systems
The cleanest technology, whatever the application: FUSO is a pioneer in environmentally friendly drive systems for the commercial vehicle sector.
The new FUSO Canter E-CELL represents the state of the art for all-electric, emission-free light trucks: an operating range of over 100 km, powerful output of 110 kW (150 hp), chassis payload of around 3.0 tons and a permissible gross vehicle weight of 6.0 tons. Eight Canter E-CELL trucks have been undergoing practical trials with customers in Portugal for a year since July.
The Canter Eco Hybrid has already been available in Europe since the end of 2012. The European model Canter Eco Hybrid produces fuel and CO2 savings of up to 23 percent compared to its conventional diesel model.
The diesel-powered Canter truck is even more economical and cost-effective since the move to Euro VI. The Ecofficiency package included as standard reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to nine percent. Now with a permissible gross vehicle weight of up to 8.55 tons, with dropsider and tipper bodies as well as the further refined all-wheel drive of the Canter 4x4, the FUSO Canters are presenting itself in top form at the IAA Show.
