PRESS RELEASE

25th Mitsubishi Fuso Summer Sketch Contest

Entries top 700,000 over 1/4 century!
July 10, 2003

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation is again sponsoring the annual Mitsubishi Fuso Summer Sketch Contest open to preschool children at kindergartens and nursery schools throughout Japan. Entries will be accepted at Mitsubishi Fuso sales companies in Japan between August 1 through September 30.

In the Summer Sketch Contest, preschool children are asked to draw a sketch depicting the kind of a truck or bus that they see hard at work around them each day or a futuristic vision of the kind of vehicle they would like to ride in, the kind of vehicle that would be cool to see on the roads. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the start of the contest which has attracted no less than 715,181 entries to date.

The Summer Sketch Contest was started with the aim of providing young children an opportunity to develop their personalities by expressing original and unfettered ideas in the form of drawings. Every year, the Contest attracts a large number of imaginative and bubbly entries from children all over Japan.

In 2002, the Contest attracted 68,262 entries from 948 kindergartens and nursery schools and Mitsubishi Fuso is looking forward once again this year to receiving a large number of sketches that capture the hopes and dreams of children who are at a very creative stage in their lives.

The entries will be judged and winners chosen by a panel chaired by Tei Yamamoto, a leading modern artist. Winning entries will be announced in the December edition of the Mitsubishi Fuso PR magazine Fuso and will also be published on the company's web site (http://www.mitsubishi-fuso.com). Prizes will be awarded to the top winning entries.
