PRESS RELEASE

Mitsubishi Fuso to Donate 10 Trucks
for Indonesia Earthquake Relief

June 2, 2006

Tokyo, Japan and Jakarta, Indonesia – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) will donate 10 trucks for relief efforts following a large earthquake in Indonesia. The trucks will be provided to the Indonesia Red Cross, and will be used for humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of the May 27 quake on the Indonesia island of Java.

Since the quake struck, the Indonesia Red Cross, with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, has been providing relief, including emergency medical care, food, drinking water, and tents to the affected communities.

MFTBC intends to begin delivering the light-duty Mitsubishi Fuso FE trucks almost immediately. The trucks will be transferred with the assistance of P.T. KTB (P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors), the distributor for Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles in Indonesia.

As the market leader with more than three decades' history in Indonesia, Mitsubishi Fuso has deep ties to local communities and economies. The company therefore wants to make this contribution to the relief efforts.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation, based in Tokyo Japan, is one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. DaimlerChrysler AG owns 85% of MFTBC shares. The remaining 15% of shares are held by various Mitsubishi group companies. Mitsubishi Fuso is an integral part of DaimlerChrysler's Truck Group.
