Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation
Achieves Record International Sales in 2007

February 8, 2008

•  International Sales Rise 16.6% to 134,700 Units
•  Overall Sales Increase 1.1% to 188,700 Units

Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced it achieved record international sales in 2007. During the period January through December 2007, the company sold 134,700 units outside its home market of Japan. This represented a 16.6% improvement from 2006 (115,500 units) and the highest ever annual international sales total for the company.

MFTBC’s overall sales (including international markets and Japan) totaled 188,700 units in 2007, a 1.1% increase from 2006 (186,600 units).

“Due to the strong Mitsubishi Fuso brand, solid products, an effective distribution network and positive economic conditions in many areas, we were able to realize very high international sales in 2007,” said Harald Boelstler, MFTBC President and CEO.

A recovery of the company’s largest export market Indonesia and continuing increases in the Middle East were major factors in the overseas growth, but sales increases were achieved in almost all regions.

The strong international sales helped off-set a significant contraction of the Japan market which affected all Japan commercial vehicle manufacturers. Due to market conditions, Mitsubishi Fuso’s 2007 Japan sales decreased 24.0% to 54,000 units (2006:71,000 units). Mitsubishi Fuso retained the number-2 market share position in the Japan total truck and bus market.
