Mitsubishi Fuso Participates in
Tokyo Safety Workshop for Mothers and Children

September 8, 2008

Kawasaki – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, joined the “Driving Workshop for Mothers and Children” organized by the Automobile Journalists Association of Japan (AJAJ). The event took place Sept. 7 at the Tokyo Big Sight facility in Tokyo.

The workshop is organized annually by AJAJ as a volunteer project to promote traffic safety for mothers and children. Children up to the 6th grade in elementary school joined the Sept. 7 event, which included various safety training programs. One program raised awareness of vehicle visibility and “blind spots,” related to passenger cars, heavy-duty trucks and motorcycles. MFTBC provided a Super Great heavy-duty truck for this activity, so participants could check and understand the “blind spots” of a heavy-duty truck by actually sitting in the drivers’ seat in a static display.

MFTBC is committed to traffic safety, and participates in various safety educational programs throughout the year.
