Mitsubishi Fuso Highlights Latest Industrial Engines
at bauma China 2008

Shanghai/Kawasaki – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced its participation at the bauma China 2008. The company, which has been growing its industrial engine business in China, is presenting a cross-section of its engine and truck products for the market. MFTBC’s exhibition includes industrial engines compliant with stringent emissions regulations, current heavy-duty trucks for the China market and a future concept vehicle.

bauma China 2008 will be held Nov. 25-28 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Organizers say this year’s show will cover 210,000 m2 area of exhibition space with 1,500 exhibitors expected from approximately 30 countries. bauma China has been held biannually since 2002.

Premieres, Products at bauma China

Mitsubishi Fuso’s presence at bauma China includes premieres and current products for the Mainland China market. Together, the product exhibition highlights the company’s presence in the China market.


 

Stage-III Compliant Engines
Making its Mainland China premiere is the Mitsubishi Fuso Stage-IIIa engine (4M50-TL, 6M70-TL and 6M60-TL) and Stage-IIIb engine module (4M50-TL + DPF*) under development. These Stage-IIIa engines are already compliant to existing stronger emission rules in certain markets outside China, allowing China equipment companies to meet regulations in export markets.

With the already available Stage-IIIa compliant engines, Mitsubishi Fuso is well positioned to further strengthen its business in the China market

Stage-II Compliant Engines
Also on display are Mitsubishi Fuso’s currently offered Stage-II compliant heavy-duty engines (6D34-TL) for excavators, crawler and rough terrain cranes. The China market has been regulated on Stage-I emission level since October 2008. Stage-II regulation is scheduled to take effect in the China market from October 2010.

Euro 3 Compliant Cab & Chassis Model
In addition to the industrial engines, Mitsubishi Fuso will also exhibit its current truck products for the China market, including the Euro 3-compliant heavy-duty truck cab & chassis model FV51J. This truck is used in dump, concrete pump or mixer applications.

Fuso Concept Truck
The Fuso Concept truck which has already appeared at locations including the Tokyo Motor Show and Indonesia International Motor Show will make its Mainland China premiere. Envisioned for comprehensive active safety, the Fuso Concept truck proposes next-generation safety, comfort and ecological responsibility, as well as performance expected of a commercial vehicle.
