Mitsubishi Fuso Delivers 100,000th Truck in North America
Since Market Entry in 1985

Kawasaki/Logan Township, N.J. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced the 100,000th delivery of Mitsubishi Fuso trucks in North America. The 100,000th truck was delivered to LaVallee’s Bakery Distributors of Waltham, Mass., by long-time Mitsubishi Fuso dealer, Boston Freightliner, of Everett, Mass.

“The delivery of the 100,000th truck in North America shows Mitsubishi Fuso’s long and continuing commitment to this key commercial vehicle market,” says Mr. Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss, MFTBC Vice President of Sales and Service International. “Since the founding of our wholly-owned subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. in 1985, together we have focused on establishing our brand and offering high quality Mitsubishi Fuso products and services in the market.  Today, we are proud to see our efforts materialized and pleased to see the 100,000th unit delivered to LaVallee’s Bakery Distributors, a customer with high reputation for quality and customer service.

Strengthening Brand Presence in the North America Market

Mitsubishi Fuso’s product offerings for the North America market include diesel-powered, cab-over engine FE/FG light-duty trucks and FK/FM medium-duty trucks ranging from 12,500 lbs (5.7 tons) to 33,000 lbs (15 tons).

Mitsubishi Fuso is currently underway to further strengthen the brand’s presence in the region. The company has augmented its dealer network in North America by adding dealerships in Canada in the U.S. Overall, Mitsubishi Fuso’s dealer network now totals over 200 locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
