Mr. Jorge Rosa, President of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe, Elected as President of the Board of ACAP Portuguese Automobile Association

Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced that Mr. Jorge Rosa, President of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe-Sociedade Europeia de Automóveis, S.A., has been elected as President of the Board of Portuguese Automobile Association (ACAP) for two years until the end of March 2015.
Mr. Jorge Rosa commented on the occasion of his appointment, “It is of great honor to be elected as the President of ACAP. On behalf of the ACAP Board, I am fully committed to the vitalization of the automotive industry and the continuing support for the overall growth of the Portuguese economy."

About MFTE
The plant in Tramagal was originally opened in 1964 by a Portuguese-French joint venture for the production of military aircraft for the Portuguese military. Mitsubishi commercial vehicles were first built in the District of Santarém in 1980. Ten years later, the Portuguese importer Mitsubishi Motors Portugal (MMP) took over the plant and made substantial investments. In 1996, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation decided to concentrate Canter production for Europe in Tramagal. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe has been building the Canter light truck in Tramagal since 2004. In the same year, the Tramagal production facility received its current name of “Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europa S.A.
