Dr. Albert Kirchmann Named Board Member of
German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan

Kawasaki, Japan - Dr. Albert Kirchmann, Chief Representative of the Daimler Group in Japan and President & CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), has been named Board Member of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (GCCIJ) during the general assembly meeting of the GCCIJ held on May 14, 2013, for a two-year term. Concurrently, Dr. Kirchmann has also been delegated to act as Board Member of the Executive Operating Board of the European Business Council in Japan (EBC) also for a two-year term.
On the occasion of his appointment, Dr. Kirchmann said, “It is of great honor to have been appointed as Board Member of the GCCIJ and the EBC. As Chief Representative of the Daimler Group in japan, I am committed to further supporting the economic ties between Germany and Japan and the overall EU-Japan trade discussions related to the EPA.”
