FUSO Launches New Truck Range in Bangladesh,
Sixth Market Introduction of Truck Developed for Asia and Africa

Kawasaki, Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today announced it has launched in Bangladesh its new truck range uniquely developed for the growth markets in Asia and Africa. The custom-tailored FUSO trucks have now already reached its sixth market following the launches in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. A total of 5 all-new FUSO ‘FA/FI’ light-medium- and ‘FJ’ medium-heavy-duty trucks were unveiled on June 7, 2014, to members of the media and customers in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At the unveiling event, the new FUSO trucks were presented to over 100 guests invited from key local industries.
Mr. Najmus Ahmed, General Manager of Rangs Motors Limited, MFTBC’s local distributor in Bangladesh, explains the product advantage of the FUSO trucks: “These FUSO products have everything that our customers expect from our trucks to keep their business moving – reliability, robust payload capacity, superb fuel efficiency, and low maintenance cost which significantly impacts customers’ overall Total Cost of Ownership. These robust trucks will greatly benefit our customers and the transportation industry in Bangladesh.”

These robust and fuel-efficient trucks, custom-tailored to meet the ever demanding customer expectations in the growth markets, reinforce FUSO’s leading presence in Asia and Africa. Rigorous testing has been assessed under the most strenuous driving conditions to ensure maximum reliability of the trucks. Following the market introduction in Bangladesh, the new FUSO trucks are planned for further introduction in Asian and African markets.

“More choice for customers”: Total of 5 all-new robust FUSO models rolling out to more than 10 markets in Asia and Africa:
The whole new batch of FUSO trucks comprises 5 new models, the light-medium-duty (GVW 9-16 tons referred to as ‘FA’ & ‘FI’) and the medium-heavy-duty (GVW 25-49 tons referred to as ‘FJ’, ‘FO’ & ‘FZ’), thus providing more choice to customers. These trucks will be exported and sold through MFTBC’s global network in Asia and Africa.
