Mitsubishi Fuso and UD Trucks Sign OEM Agreement on
Mitsubishi Fuso’s Supply of Light-Duty Trucks to UD Trucks for Sale in Japan

Kawasaki/Ageo, Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and UD Trucks Corporation (UD Trucks) today announced the signing of an official contract regarding MFTBC’s OEM (original equipment manufacturer) supply of light-duty trucks to UD Trucks for sale in Japan starting in 2014.
Dr. Albert Kirchmann, MFTBC President & CEO, said: “The contract today is a sign of confidence in our products and is a testament to our long-term commitment to further grow our business in Japan. We have enriched our product portfolio last year in our global offensive to further excel in the growth markets in Asia and Africa. At the same time, we continue to dedicate ourselves in enhancing our business setup in Japan – our core of our global operations.”
Mr. Yusuke Sakaue, UD Trucks President & Representative Director, said: “OEM procurement of light-duty trucks gives us the opportunity to concentrate resources on the development and production of medium and heavy-duty trucks. With the procurement, UD Trucks continues to provide the Japanese market a comprehensive line-up of trucks from light to heavy.”
