Kawasaki Campus Comes Alive With 6,000+ Visitors For Day of Food, Fun and Truck Festivities.

The Day Our Workplace Came to Life with Families and Community

FUSO Family Day returned on October 5, bringing together employees, their families, and members of the local community for a day filled with energy and connection. Under crisp autumn skies, more than 6,000 guests joined us to experience the spirit of FUSO up close: the people, the culture, and the pride that drive what we do every day.

Opening Ceremony: A Warm Welcome to Start the Day

The day began with opening remarks from CEO Karl Deppen, who shared a message about the importance of connection: “Family Day is a chance for us to strengthen the bonds that make FUSO special. I hope you enjoy today with your families and friends.”

Activities: See, Touch, and Experience FUSO

One of the day’s biggest draws was the Factory Tour, offering a rare chance to step inside the truck assembly line, an area usually closed to the public. Guests followed along as FUSO employees explained each stage of production, gaining a firsthand look at the precision and teamwork that go into building every vehicle. Even the Design Center, typically off-limits to most employees, opened its doors for the occasion. Visitors tried their hand at clay modeling and experienced virtual reality demonstrations, getting a glimpse into the creativity that drives FUSO’s design process.

Families also took part in the Tug-of-War with a Truck, joining forces to pull the mighty Super Great. Cheers erupted as the truck inched forward, a true show of teamwork and excitement.

Another crowd favorite was the Test Drive Experience, where guests could climb into the cab of the Super Great for a short ride. Children beamed as they took turns in the driver’s seat, seeing the world from a whole new height.

The day also shined a spotlight on FUSO’s sustainability efforts. Through a Solar Panel Rooftop Tour and a fun waste-sorting game, families explored how FUSO is reducing its environmental impact and turning learning into a shared experience for all ages.

The venue came alive with the aroma of food trucks serving a range of global dishes. Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options were also available, ensuring everyone could find something to enjoy.

My child said, ‘I want to work at FUSO when I grow up.’ That made me really happy.

Special Programs: Energy and Excitement

The stage featured performances throughout the day, including live music by FUSO employees who turned their passion for FUSO into an original song. Local high school students impressed the audience with a dynamic cheerleading routine, and the ever-popular Hero Show drew cheers from the children.
To close the event, a grand raffle brought one last wave of excitement as lucky winners took home prizes, marking a lively finish to a memorable day.

“It was a fun event for the kids, with lots of treats and prizes. We made some good memories! We also enjoyed a meal at the cafeteria. It was great!”

“It was my first time coming. There was so much to see and do that I couldn’t see everything. My impression of FUSO as a company has definitely changed.”

“I felt proud to show my workplace to my family, which I usually can’t do. The best part was when my child said, ‘I want to work at FUSO when I grow up.’ That made me really happy.”

Closing Thoughts: A Day That Strengthened Our Bonds

FUSO Family Day was a reminder that our company is built on more than the work we do. It is built on people, their connections, their families, and the sense of community that brings us together. Spending time with colleagues and loved ones in such a lively and open setting was a meaningful way to celebrate what makes FUSO special. We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year.
