■ Detection Range
It covers a wide range of detection, except for a small portion in the front of the vehicle (part A) and the rear of the vehicle (part B).

The dimensions of Part A and Part B differ slightly depending on the specifications of the vehicle.

Active Sideguard Assist assists the driver in preventing false recognition and does not enable the driver to fall asleep or look away. There is a limit to the recognition performance. Do not overestimate the system, and always check the safety of your surroundings and drive safely. For details, please refer to the instruction manual.

■ Attention Assist Function Illustration

Attention Assist

The system monitors the driver’s attention span and warns the driver. When driving at high speed, the system monitors the driver’s alertness based on the vehicle’s wobble detected by the white line recognition camera*1 and the status of steering wheel, indicator, and brake operations. When the driver’s attention level drops, the system warns the driver with an in-meter monitor and buzzer as necessary. The vehicle is also equipped with a lane departure warning system (LDWS*2), which warns and alerts the driver if the vehicle deviates from its lane.

*Attention Assist is activated at speeds of 60 km/h or higher. The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) is included in the Attention Assist function. It also complies with the legal requirements for LDWS installation.

Attention Assist is a system that notifies the driver of a decrease in driving attention and assists in safe driving. Please do not overestimate the system, and try to drive safely by taking appropriate rest as needed while driving. The system does not work when driving at low speeds. The lane departure warning system (LDWS) is an aid to safe driving, and is not a device that enables you to fall asleep or drive blindly. It also cannot assist in driving when white or yellow lines cannot be recognized, such as in snowfall, snow accumulation, flooding, or backlighting, or when visibility is poor, such as in rain or fog. Please operate the steering wheel according to the surrounding conditions and drive safely. For details, please refer to the instruction manual.

■ ESP® Control Illustration

ESP® (Electronic Stability Program)

The system stabilizes the vehicle and prevents skidding and rollover accidents. Sensors constantly detect the posture of the vehicle as it travels. The system warns the driver if the vehicle’s posture becomes unstable due to changes in steering operation and vehicle behavior during curves and lane changes. In addition, if the system determines that there is a risk of skidding or rolling over, it controls the engine torque and brakes to guide the vehicle in a stable direction. The system assists the driver in avoiding danger. An ESP® cut switch is also provided to cancel the operation.

ESP® is not a device that allows you to drive beyond your limits; the effect of ESP® is only achieved when the grip of the tires does not exceed its limits. Please do not overestimate ESP®, and be sure to drive safely by slowing down sufficiently on slippery surfaces and before curves. For details, please refer to the instruction manual.

HID Headlamps for Enhanced Night Vision
High-intensity-discharge headlamps, which provide approximately twice the illumination of halogen headlamps and a color close to that of natural light, are standard equipment on vehicles with lower headlamps (Cargo series only).

FUP and RUP Standard
In the event of a collision, the Front Underrun Protection (FUP) prevents passenger cars and other vehicles from diving into the front of the truck, thereby reducing collision damage, and the Rush Underrun Protection (RUP), which complies with ECE regulations, is standard equipment.

Brake Override System
When the brake pedal is pressed while the accelerator pedal is depressed, the brake system takes precedence. The system is designed to be fail-safe in the event of an emergency.

Electromagnetic Retarder
An electromagnetic retarder, which provides excellent deceleration and extends the life of brake linings, is available as a factory-installed option for cargo models (except some models).

Robust Safety Cab for Occupant Protection in Collision
The robust cab body of the Fighter has achieved high cab rigidity. Not only does it provide excellent ride comfort, but it also reduces cab deformation in the event of a collision, contributing to securing the survival space for the occupants.

■ Regenerative DPF
The regeneration-controlled DPF, which significantly reduces PM, reduces the frequency of regeneration and considers fuel consumption and operation. The amount of PM accumulation and regeneration status can be checked on the display of the meter cluster.

NOx is decomposed by AdBlue® (urea water) and a catalyst. This allows for highly efficient combustion on the engine side, leading to improved fuel efficiency and dynamic performance, as well as reduced CO2 emissions.

Higher Comfort and Fuel Efficiency with the Full-Auto Cold Storage Air Conditioner

A fully automatic air conditioner with a cold storage system is standard equipment. This improves comfort and contributes to economic efficiency by reducing fuel consumption. In addition to the fully automatic air conditioner that automatically maintains the interior at the set temperature, the coolant storage function cools the coolant in the air conditioner unit while the vehicle is in motion, allowing for short periods of cooling even when the ISS is running, thereby reducing fatigue.

Benefits

Short-term cooling is possible even when the engine is stopped.
By storing cold air in the cold storage in the evaporator while the vehicle is running, it is possible to provide cold air for about one minute even when the engine is stopped (= AC compressor stopped). This is effective when the ISS is activated at traffic lights.

Contributes to reduction of fuel consumption for driving
In environments with low heat load, the extra cooling capacity can be stored in the refrigerant while driving with the gas pedal off, such as when going downhill. This reduces the amount of time the air conditioner is in operation when the gas pedal is on, contributing to reduced fuel consumption.
