MFTBC appoints Achim Puchert as new
SVP Head of International Sales, Marketing and Customer Services

  • Achim Puchert will replace Michael Kamper as Head of International Sales, Marketing and Customer Services for MFTBC.
  • As Head of International Operations for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Mr. Puchert led business localization projects in markets such as Algeria and Russia.
  • In his new role, Mr. Puchert will oversee Sales, Marketing, and Customer Services activities in all markets outside of Japan.

Kawasaki, Japan – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), under the umbrella of Daimler Trucks Asia (DTA), today announces the appointment of Achim Puchert as Head of International Sales, Marketing and Customers for MFTBC, replacing Mr. Michael Kamper. Mr. Puchert will assume his new role from October 1, 2019.

Mr. Puchert joined Daimler Scandinavia in 2002, through a position in Sales for Mercedes-Benz Vans and Trucks, before moving to Stuttgart, Germany for a role in Market Management and Sales Controlling for Mercedes-Benz Trucks Russia. In 2010, he became the Executive Assistant to the Head of Sales, Services and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Trucks Europe. Mr. Puchert thereafter managed the Alliance Office for cooperation between Daimler Trucks and its partner in Russia, KAMAZ, until 2015. His most recent assignment has been in International Operations for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, where he has been responsible for the development of new business structures to support localized production and sales partnerships in markets as diverse as Algeria, Russia, and Iran.

Mr. Kamper will be departing from Daimler to pursue career opportunities outside of the organization. He has spent over 24 years at Daimler, and has been instrumental in the development of the Daimler Trucks business in a number of international markets for both the Mercedes-Benz and FUSO brands. His leadership contributed significantly to the solid commercial growth achieved by DTA during the years 2016 to 2018.
